TERMS OF BUSINESS
These terms and conditions are set to ensure the best service and to protect both the stylist and yourself. By booking a service with Anita Conroy (the Makeup Artist), you (the client) agree that you, and all members within your booking, are covered by the following terms and conditions:
BOOKING
A €150 non-refundable booking fee is required to reserve a wedding date, until this is paid the date is not confirmed. This amount will be deducted from your final balance. Upon receipt of the holding deposit. The cost outlined in your original quote applies throughout, with the exception for additional work. In this instance, the final amount will increase.
If party numbers change at any time of the year and there are less than 4 people to be styled the minimum price must be adhered to. Travel and trial costs are additional to minimum numbers.
Pricing is available upon request for other events such as parties, corporate, photoshoots etc.
CHANGE OF LOCATION / ADDITIONAL TIME FEE
If there is a change of location (i.e. The MUA begins in one venue and then has to finish in another venue) there will be a change of location fee.
The time allocated for finishing touches, dressing, pre ceremony photographs, is 1 hour [standard industry practice]. If more time is requested by the photographer or the bride, there may be a fee for this additional time that the MUA is present.
ACCOMMODATION
Please note an overnight stay is required, it is for the evening before the wedding. As the distance it’s over 1.5-2 hour travel time or the MUA would have to leave their home address before 5.30am. This will be discussed and agreed with the Client during the booking process.
• The accommodation is booked and paid for by the client. Within in 10- 15 minutes driving distance from bride venue/home on the morning of your wedding.
PAYMENT
The final balance is to be paid on your wedding day in cash, or if you prefer to pay by bank transfer at least 3 – 5 working days before the wedding day and notification that this has happened.
BRIDAL TRIALS
Trials are at a cost of €120 payable on the day of the trial. Trials take up to 1 hour & 45 minutes max. If in rare case you like a 2nd trial or like to try different look additional €120 will occur.
Trials take place at the availability of the MUA, and this can vary depending on the season. The MUA will endeavor to provide mid-week morning appointment options. Weekend trials are generally not an option due to weddings taking place.However I have someone trial dates available between January – March if you’re looking for Friday or Saturday appointment. I will email you with my availability few weeks prior to the date but these are limited so I would recommend responding immediately. If you are international bride in these circumstances I will try my best to accommodate you. No trials will take place between the month of July & August, over Christmas holidays period.
Trials take place in Camolin, Co Wexford.
Trials are designed for brides only that have booked me, and it is unlikely that the MUA can accommodate makeup trials for bridesmaids. I understand that some mums can be bit nervous if they never wear in this case I will try my best to accommodate them for a trial but only morning mid week appointment will be offered. Trial for mums are €100 and it’s up 1 hour & 30 minutes max. It is the MUA preference that brides come alone to trials. But brides can come to MOB trials .
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations by the client
The Client reserves the right to cancel your booking at any time. Please note that your booking fee is non refundable/transferable at all times and is to cover administration time spent on your booking.
Cancellations
● 6 months prior – 50% of your payment is due.(of remaining balance owed)
● 12 weeks prior or less – Full payment is due.
Change of date
If The Client needs to change the booking due to a circumstance outside of their control or a genuine emergency (authentication verification may be required) or if they need to change date for personal reasons, the booking can be transferred to a new date, providing I am available on the new date. The booking fee will be retained to cover administration time and loss of date costs and a new booking fee charged will apply. Costs may be subject to change for new date. A new quote will be issued if rates have risen.
Cancellations are only deemed valid if received via email/follow up email.
Cancellations by the MUA
In the unlikely event that I am unable to attend your booking due to illness, injury, personal emergency or a circumstance beyond my control, I will endeavour to source a replacement MUA. However, this cannot be guaranteed and if I am unable to find a replacement MUA that of the same level you will receive a full refund, less any trial costs already paid for. The MUA reserves the right to refuse / cancel a booking if payment is not received, incorrect information is given by the client at the time of booking, contact cannot be made, or, if a booking fee has not been paid in order to reserve your date.
The MUA reserves the right to cancel the booking, retaining the booking fee, if they find out that The Client has booked multiple MUA’s for their wedding date.
CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
It is the responsibility of the client to inform the MUA(s) in writing via email of any issues that may affect the application of makeup for all parties within the booking. This includes chemical peels to face, sensitivities, allergies and any medical conditions. The MUA accepts no liability for any loss or damage that is incurred due to the client’s failure to inform of any known conditions, and reserve the right to refuse service to the client or any members of the party who may be deemed at risk.
Small children or animals are not allowed in the close vicinity when the MUA is working as this is a danger to them and a hazard to equipment. The MUA cannot be responsible for any accidents that occur due to small children/animals. The responsibility lies with the client to ensure they are kept away.
The MUA reserves the right to cancel the agreement if the behaviour of a client is deemed inappropriate and/or if the client reports a condition that the MUA’s deems as a risk to the client’s or MUA health and well-being. In these cases any payments that have already been made by the client for the service are non-refundable.
EXCLUSIVITY
The MUA’s exclusivity is not guaranteed on the day of your event as time constraints are taken into consideration for each individual booking.
PHOTOGRAPHY & PRIVACY
It is agreed that photos can be taken of you, your makeup and the other people having their makeup applied before/after the trial or wedding. These photos may be used on the Anita Conroy website, social media or other mediums purely for the purpose of marketing the business.
Information collected from you will be stored safely and is used to carry out your instructions or to contact you. There are no circumstances under which this information might be passed to a third party. All records are destroyed within a set time frame as set out by Data Protection law.
DATA PROTECTION
By law it is required to keep records of your services, and this includes personal data. Your personal data is stored securely and is not visible to anyone other than the MUA at any time. These records are kept for six years, after which time, if you are no longer a client, your personal data will be destroyed. Records will be automatically deleted at the six year point after your last appointment.
